Suspicious device forces evacuation of Dallas police station, determined to be vacuum motor

The Dallas Police Department’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team has cleared the Northeast Substation, 9915 Northwest Highway, after a suspicious device was found in the lobby.

A member of the cleaning crew at the police station found the device in the public lobby of the police station. All personnel were evacuated from the building and EOD was called in to investigate.

The device was determined to be a motor from a vacuum cleaner. Nothing else suspicious was located.
