Woman dies from injuries sustained in Parker County crash

A woman has died at a Fort Worth hospital after sustaining serious injuries in crash near Springtown.

Last Saturday morning, October 2nd, at 10:55am, multiple emergency responders including Parker County ESD 1 firefighters, Lifecare EMS, and multiple law enforcement were called to the intersection of FM 51 north of Veal Station Road south of Springtown for a two vehicle crash.

A driver of a pickup truck towing a trailer stated he hydroplaned while traveling south on FM 51, and drifted into oncoming lanes of traffic. The pickup and trailer collided with another pickup truck.

Four people were taken to area hospitals: both drivers and a passenger in each vehicle. A passenger in the pickup that hydroplaned died at Texas Health Fort Worth hospital yesterday (Tuesday), October 5th while seeking treatment. She has been identified as a 70-year-old woman from Weatherford.
