Motorcyclist killed in Arlington crash

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred Sunday afternoon along the northbound lanes of Highway 360 near Abram Street.

At around 2:40pm, Arlington Fire, EMS, and Police responded to the scene and located a motorcycle and a vehicle involved in a collision.

Police say the vehicle had come to a stop on the highway due to heavy traffic when the motorcyclist rear-ended the vehicle. The impact caused the motorcyclist to be ejected off the bike.

Witnesses say the motorcyclist was traveling at high speeds and changing lanes aggressively before the crash.

Paramedics transported him to nearby Arlington Memorial Hospital but pronounced deceased. He has been identified as a 26-year-old man from Hurst.

All northbound lanes of 360 were closed while Arlington police investigated the scene.

No charges will be filed.
