Three drivers arrested for DWI after two people killed in Dallas highway crash

The Dallas Police Department is investigating an overnight fatality accident that involved five vehicles and resulted in the deaths of two individuals.

At around 2:20am, Dallas Fire Rescue and Police were dispatched to the southbound lanes of Central Expressway near Knox Street after several vehicles were involved in a collision.

First responders located a total of five vehicles involved with major damage.

One of the drivers, a 31-year-old male, and his passenger, a 31-year-old female, were both pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officials determined three of the drivers involved in the collision were reportedly under the influence at the time of the crash. All three were arrested.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
