Controlled Burns Near Cedar Hill State Park
Prescribed (planned) burns are scheduled for February and March near S. Grand Priarie (Cedar Hill State Park). Prescribed burns on state parks are conducted by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. During the burn there may be smoke that reduces visibility on neighboring roads. Travelers need to reduce their speed and use their headlights when smoke is present.
