Press Release from Corinth PD:
**Press Release**
Over the past month the Classic Dodge-Mazda of Denton auto dealership (5000 IH35E, Corinth, Texas) has experienced a rash of catalytic convertor thefts. Since January 23, 2013, numerous catalytic convertors have been removed from 2012 and 2013 model Dodge Cummins Diesel trucks, resulting in a loss of approximately $84,000. Thieves are stealing the catalytic convertors because they contain valuable metals. Dodge Dealerships across the D/FW metroplex and country are seeing a spike in catalytic convertor thefts. The owner of the Classic Dodge-Mazda of Denton would like to see the trend stop. A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the offender(s) involved. The Corinth Police Department is actively investigating these offenses and encourage anyone with information to contact Lieutenant Jimmie Gregg at 940-498-2017.
