Show your Rig # 6A – Fort Worth Fire Department Station #2 “The Big House” located at 1000 Cherry Street is home to Engine, Truck, Squad, and Battalion 2. It’s the primary Hazmat station for Fort Worth and one of four Technical Rescue Team stations. The crew at Station 2 has received many awards for the special rescues they have orchestrated. Engine 2 is a CAFS-equipped pumper. In addition to the usual EMS and firefighting gear, E2 carries extra high-rise firefighting equipment. Engine 2 is consistently one of the top 5 busiest engine companies in the city, serving everything from Sundance Square and the Fort Worth Convention Center to the Medical District, and the city’s homeless community.
