Show your Rig # 9 – (North Shore FD / Cooke County)
Show your Rig # 9 – This is Brush 103 of the North Shore Fire Dept in Cooke County. Brush 103 is a “large brush truck” that carries 1000 gallons of water with a Class A foam system, a 300 GPM pump, and a bumper mounted remote control turret with a joystick control mounted inside the cab. Various wildland firefighing equipment is also carried such as hand tools, a chain saw,etc. Two 1 inch “whip lines” are located behind the cab along with an additional 200 ft of 1 inch line on a hose reel mounted on the rear of the truck. The truck carries 150 ft of 1 3/4 inch hose and a S.C.B.A. Brush 103 also serves as a secondary tanker on structure fires.
