The Briaroaks Volunteer Fire Department has served the citizens of Johnson County since 1971 and operates out of two fire stations. The department provides fire protection and emergency medical response to a population of approximately 9,000 people living in Northern Johnson County, Texas. They are a full service fire department providing fire suppression, advanced life support emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, technical rescue services, and other types of calls.
