PIC – Why is it important to watch and listen for emergency vehicles responding to an emergency? Here is a wreck that involved Bedford FD Truck 163 (our rig of the day today) and a white vehicle a few years ago. As you can see, most of the damage sustained in the accident was to the white vehicle and the fire truck, although damaged, wasn’t nearly as bad. They were responding to a major accident. Folks, it is critical that you always watch and listen for emergency vehicles, not just fire trucks, but ALL emergency personnel who may be responding lights & siren to an incident. Be safe and vigilant! No injuries in this accident.
