Overturned Boat (Ft Worth)
Overturned Boat/Possible Drowning (Ft Worth) FWFD, FWPD, MedStar, and FWPD Air-1 are all working an overturned boat with possible drowning on the far west side of Lake Arlington. Dive Teams requesting FWPD’s Air-1 helicopter to assist in the search for a possible victim. This is near Ramey Ave and Quail Rd. (Update: FWPD’s Air-1 was assisting but had to suspend aerial recon due to wind.)
UPDATE – From the FWFD PIO: Dive Teams are on scene using sonar and thermal imaging. No overturned boat or drowning victim found yet.
UPDATE – MedStar has cleared the scene. Crews from Arlington FD and Fort Worth FD continue to search with boats.
FINAL UPDATE – Per the FWFD PIO on Twitter, units have suspended their search until tomorrow.
