Search (Prosper/Celina)
Search (Prosper) Prosper, Celina, Frisco PDs along with CCSO are searching for a reported subject with a gun in a cornfield near Preston Rd and Frontier Parkway, and down towards Coleman. Multiple roads in the area are being closed off, and the football practice field at Prosper High School is being cleared. Prosper PD has also requested a DPS helicopter.
UPDATE – Frisco FD requested to assist with their ladder truck.
**UPDATE** from Celina PD:
Celina Police are looking for Juan Cerrato, a hispanic male about 5′ tall wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt and a black hat. Cerrato is armed with a 9mm handgun and was last seen going northbound into the field that is located about 500 yards west of Preston Rd. on Frontier Pkwy.
The suspect has not been located despite every effort. The search will continue, but at night, and with over 7-8 square miles, it will be difficult to locate him. It is believed that the Cerrato is suicidal and intoxicated. Be sure to keep your doors locked and report any suspicious activity. Officers will continue to search the area. Please call 911 to report any suspicious activity.
