Rescue (Ft Worth)

Quint 16, Engine 30, Squad 2, and MedStar are working a rescue at Ridglea Country Club in the 3900 block of Ridglea Country Club Dr. Reports of an all terrain vehicle accident into a creek or ravine. FWFD units are currently working to extricate the victim. CareFlite has been launched to the scene for one patient with critical injuries. Battalion 5 will have command.

Update – Extrication has been completed at this time.

Update from the Fort Worth Fire Department regarding this morning’s ATV accident: “A 59 man was severely injured this morning, around 9 am, when his maintenance vehicle went off an embankment and into a creek at 3901 Ridglea Country Club Drive. The man was driving a three-wheeled ‘sand trap’ maintenance vehicle, which resembles a riding lawn mower, when he went over the edge of a steep retaining wall, falling about 25 feet. Witnesses stated that one of his co-workers noticed the man face down in the water and jumped in to rescue him. Fort Worth Fire Department’s Engine 30 quickly arrived and began caring for the patient’s multiple injuries, as well as removing him from the creek bed. The patient was transported to Harris Methodist Hospital – Fort Worth via CareFlite.”
