Water Rescue (Ft Worth)

The firefighters from Fort Worth Fire Station #18 were dispatched to a High Water Rescue call in the 2900 Block of Hulen Street around 7:00 this morning. After a thunderstorm dumping rain and hail moved quickly through the area, the street flooded with water carrying a layer of hail on it’s surface. Firefighters reported that a single vehicle had attempted to make it through the water. However, on their arrival, the vehicle was stuck and the water had risen to ‘waist height’. The firefighters from Engine 18 were able to rescue a single female occupant from her car and remove the ice which was clogging the storm drain.
