The DFW Scanner team is excited to expand our service and coverage through a new and improved news blog platform!

As many of you have already seen, we have begun publishing additional content and information to this blog in an effort to do a few things.

The first is the create more of a stable platform. The social media realm goes through a lot of changes, and there’s no guarantee these sites will be around forever. We want to utilize this news blog platform as a way to stabilize our service and prolong its existence, even when popular social media sites begin to fade away and new ones emerge. Social media has changed drastically since we started 8+ years ago, so we know it is important to have a reliable platform.

The second is based on content. We want to provide the most comprehensive, wholistic coverage to our followers. Many times we are the first to report on such incidents; not because we strive to beat everyone like the traditional media, but because we hear a few details and are able to publish a quick blurb on the situation. There are many details that arise after the initial response, and we want to be able to report those to you as well. We hope this platform will enable us to do that in a professional and complete manner.

The third is community. It’s no secret the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex is growing rapidly. New people are moving here on a daily basis. Some of the nation’s fastest-growing cities are located here in DFW. Our goal is to provide quick and accurate information to as many people as possible, and we can do that with an increased focus on growing the DFW Scanner community. We hope you’ll check out the Forum section on this website, and engage with us and fellow followers when you can.

We exist solely to inform others, and this news blog will greatly enhance our service with a more stable platform, encouraging more comprehensive coverage and an even stronger network of followers.
