Possible road rage to blame for Friday night crash in Arlington that killed one person

The Arlington Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding a major accident that occurred last night (Friday) around 8:45pm.

Arlington Fire Dept., EMS, and Police officers responded to a major crash just after 8:45pm at Six Flags Drive and Highway 360. The accident involved an overturned pickup truck.

Investigators believe the driver was traveling eastbound on Six Flags Drive and preparing to take the on-ramp for eastbound I30 towards Dallas. The driver lost control of the vehicle and it left the roadway and overturned several times. Those familiar with the area know the ramps for I30 from Six Flags drive was sharp and may be tricky to navigate.

The driver was arrested for Intoxication Manslaughter after receiving minor treatment at a local hospital. He remains in the Arlington jail.

Detectives are looking into the possibility that another motorist may have been involved in a road rage incident with the suspect’s vehicle prior to the crash. If you saw something that may be related to this crash, call the Arlington Police Department.
