Tarrant and Johnson counties added to Winter Weather Advisory; light icing on bridges, overpasses is possible

A quick update on the winter weather outlook for tomorrow through the remainder of the week.

The NWS Fort Worth has added Tarrant and Johnson counties to the Winter Weather Advisory which was already in effect for areas just west of north of the immediate DFW Metroplex. Light icing is possible on elevated surfaces, especially bridges and overpasses, tomorrow (Wednesday) morning. The highest threat for travel impacts is west of DFW, but we may see some minor impacts closer to home.

The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 3AM Wednesday until 6AM Friday. Very minor ice and snow accumulations are possible, especially west and north of DFW.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain may cause travel difficulties.
