Multiple Denton County police departments respond to multiple fights at large party

Late last night, multiple law enforcement agencies including the Little Elm PD, Denton County sheriffs deputies, and Northeast PD, responded to a large party of several hundred attendees at the Paloma Creek South amenities center, 1501 Bluebird Drive.

According to Northeast PD, a fight was reported at the large party, involving teenagers and young adults. Reports of gunshots fired during the incident also prompted the heavy police response.

Arriving officers closed down Paloma Creek Blvd. and evacuated the amenities center, the nearby 7-11 convenience store, and a few other areas for the investigation.

There were several smaller fights reported as the party-goers fled the amenities center. Thankfully, no one was shot in the incident, despite multiple reports of gunfire.

There were several injuries as a result of the fight(s), but no one was killed.

There are rumors circulating on social media that this incident involved multiple deaths. Those reports of false, according to law enforcement officials.
