Man drives vehicle into Lake Ray Hubbard

Just after 2:00pm this afternoon, emergency responders from Dallas, Rowlett, and multiple law enforcement agencies were called to the Dalrock Road boat ramp in regards to a vehicle that had driven into the lake.

According to Dallas-Fire Rescue officials, a man, believed to be the driver, successfully got out of the vehicle before it sank, but it is unknown if there are any other occupants inside the vehicle.

The car has been in the water for more than an hour, and is about 50-60 yards out in the water according to personnel on scene.

The Texas Game Warden is on scene and will make a determination to either send in a dive team, or pull the vehicle out. Lewisville Fire Department’s Dive Team was placed on standby, but have since been disregarded.
