18-year-old arrested for shooting and killing his brother this morning in Garland

This morning around 4:00am, Garland Police say they responded to a gunshot wound victim at a house in the 200 block of E. Taylor Drive.

When officers arrived on scene, they located a male with a gunshot wound inside of a residence. Garland Fire/EMS also responded and transported the victim to the hospital where he died.

The suspect, an 18-year-old male, and his brother, a 26-year-old male, had been involved in an disturbance. During this incident, the suspect produced a gun, and shot his brother.

The suspect originally fled the location, but later turned himself into jail. He is charged with murder.

Garland PD continue to investigate the situation.
