Fort Worth responders investigating possible carbon monoxide exposure at shopping center

Multiple units from Fort Worth FD, PD, and MedStar EMS are on scene of a possible carbon monoxide exposure to people inside of a shopping center located at 4801 Overton Ridge Blvd.

EMS is currently evaluating how many people are impacted. Reports indicate the scene is ongoing at the Barnes and Noble store.

Engine 26, Quint 26, Battalion 5, Squad 2, and others are all assigned. Expect heavy public safety response in this area.

Update – Just before 4pm FWFD crews responded to an EMS call. While treating the patient, their Carbon Monoxide detector alerted them to high levels in the building. The building was eveacuated and HazMat was called for. Crews have isolated the source and cleared the building.
