Bomb threats at two Grapevine middle schools
Grapevine police are on scene at Cross Timbers Middle School and Grapevine Middle School investigating bomb threats.
There is heavy police activity at both of these schools while officers investigate the threat.
Cross Timbers MS students are being evacuated to the Mustang Activity Center. Grapevine MS students are being evacuated to buses. Students have evacuated and are safe.
K-9 officers are searching the campus buildings.

*UPDATE – Cross Timbers Middle School has been cleared by officers and K-9. Students and faculty are returning to campus. ISD officials have also reported the campus of iUniversity Prep has received a threat and is evacuated.
*UPDATE – Grapevine Middle School has been cleared by officers and K-9. Students and faculty are being allowed back into the building.

“Earlier this morning, Cross Timbers Middle School, Grapevine Middle School, and the offices of iUniversity Prep received bomb threats through their respective front office phones. All students and staff from our middle schools, as well as all staff from iUniversity Prep offices, were evacuated quickly while K-9 units and law enforcement swept all buildings.
Both middle school campuses and iUniversity Prep were cleared and students and staff were able to safely return to the buildings. A modified lunch is being served. As a precaution, there will be increased police presence across all district campuses for the remainder of the day.”
