Fort Worth police looking for driver who hit and killed pedestrian

The Fort Worth Police Department is looking for the driver of a vehicle who struck and killed a pedestrian along the westbound lanes of E. Rosedale Ave. on Tuesday evening.

At approximately 10:25pm, a male was standing near the curb along the westbound side of the 3200 block of E. Rosedale Ave near Texas Wesleyan University. A witness saw a vehicle driving erratically in the westbound direction, and then watched the vehicle strike the male. The vehicle continued westbound.

Fort Worth firefighters and MedStar personnel responded to the crash. MedStar transported the pedestrian to JPS, but he did not survive.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored 90s model SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Suburban or Ford Expedition. The SUV dragged a metal object from the driver’s side rear quarter panel after the collision.
