Storm damage reports from across the DFW Metroplex

An intense line of severe thunderstorms moved through the area a short time ago, leaving behind damage across much of the area. Power lines, signs, light poles, and trees are all reported to have blown over. Here’s a quick synopsis of the damage reports we have received.

Willow Park (Parker County): Large diameter trees blown over near the Baptist Church.

Joshua (Johnson County): Trees down.

Godley (Johnson County): Several homes suffered room/siding damage and trees blown over. No injuries.

Denton: Trees down.

Fort Worth: Sign down off I35W and Everman Parkway area. Shingles off roof (s) on the north side of town 170 and I35W area.

Arlington: Power lines down across southern portions of the city.

Kennedale: Trees down.

Grand Prairie: Planes overturned at the airport; hangar doors damaged.

Avalon (Ellis County): Large metal roof in roadway off FM55.

Irving: Semi truck blown over at Esters and Royal. Light pole in the highway WB 114 at Esters.

Rhome (Wise County): RV/camper blown over of Singing Meadows Drive.

Midlothian: Large trees down.

Mesquite: Fence damage.
