8PM: Severe weather, flooding concerns continue through the evening
A slow-moving line of strong to severe thunderstorms is currently impacting counties north and northwest of the immediate DFW Metroplex. That line will continue to drift east, dumping a lot of rain in areas along and north of Highway 380.
Severe weather, including large hail, will be a concern throughout the evening hours in the DFW Metroplex and northward. Flooding concerns are also increasing, especially for those areas north of DFW. Frequent lightning and gusty winds are also a potential with these thunderstorms. The tornado threat is low.
We will continue to provide updates. Remember if you are in a flooded area: turn around, don’t drown!
