UPDATE: Man dies in crash near Meacham Airport Friday evening
Around two hours after one fatal crash on I35W near downtown Fort Worth, multiple FWFD, FWPD, and MedStar units responded to another serious crash on N. Main Street near Loop 820.
Reports from the scene indicated the vehicle caught fire. Multiple ambulances were requested to the scene.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office confirms a 31-year-old man died in this crash. He was declared deceased on the scene. Additional patients were transported to area hospitals with undisclosed injuries.
Fort Worth PD reports the vehicle was involved in a head-on collision and caught fire. After arriving on the scene, officers were able to break the windows out and pull three people out of the burning car. The deceased victim was unable to escape.
The crash remains under investigation.
