Dallas Police investigating multiple shootings Saturday morning; at least two fatal
The Dallas Police Department responded to multiple shootings across the city early this morning.
At approximately 4:47am, Dallas police officers responded to a shooting in the 7400 block of Hunnicut Road. A 19-year-old male victim was approached by three (3) unknown male suspects wearing dark clothing. One of the suspects was armed. The armed suspect demanded the victim’s property. The victim refused, and was subsequently shot twice in the leg by the armed suspect. The suspects fled in a vehicle and are currently at large.
Another shooting was dispatched around 6:40am this morning in the 7200 block of Valley Glen Drive. Upon arrival, officers located a female deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Detectives have no leads at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
A third shooting was also reported at 7:00am. Dallas police officers responded to a shooting in the 4600 block Country Creek Drive. A known suspect shot the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital and pronounced deceased. It appears the suspect is in custody, according to police.
Officers also responded to a fatal self-inflicted shooting this morning in the 4600 block of Buckner Blvd.
These incidents are all under investigation. Further information is not available.
