Fort Worth police confirm two children shot, brought to hospital
At around 10:45am this morning, Fort Worth police were called to Cook Children’s hospital in regards to a shooting investigation.
Details are preliminary at this time, but police do confirm two children have been shot. It is not clear yet where the shooting occurred. Police say this was an accidental shooting. One child found a shotgun and accidentally discharged it, causing the injuries.
Reports indicate a relative brought them to the hospital.
One child is in serious condition and another is stable. No confirmation yet on their ages.
The department’s Crimes Against Children unit is investigating.
