Police investigating deceased person at Mountain Creek Lake as a suicide
At around 1:47am this morning, Dallas police officers on patrol observed an abandoned vehicle on the bridge over Mountain Creek Lake. Officers stopped to investigate the vehicle and discovered a body in the water below.
Officers also located a stool on the bridge and other items in the vehicle indicative of a suicidal person. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and recovered the body from the water.
When officers checked the license plate of the vehicle, it came back to a missing female out of Fort Worth. The missing female had made suicidal statements to her husband prior to the incident.
Dallas Police say this incident is being investigated as a suicide. There is no evidence of foul play.
