UPDATE: Missing 2-year-old from Denton found dead inside vehicle
The Denton Police Department has released an official update regarding the missing 2-year-old from yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to the child’s home on W. Prairie Street regarding his disappearance. A large search effort began, including door to door notifications and creek bed searches.
They located him deceased in a vehicle earlier this morning. No signs of trauma at this time, according to police.
Several vehicles were extensively searched within the area yesterday afternoon. Police say the vehicle had dark tinted windows, making it difficult for people to see inside. The vehicle was fairly close to his home.
There are no persons of interest at this time as information indicates there is no evidence of foul play or intention.
“There will be some questions we will never have answers for,” says Denton PD.
The investigation is ongoing.
