10-year-old male shot dead in McKinney
This morning at approximately 11:30AM, McKinney Police and Fire/EMS responded to a report of a shooting at the Atlantic McKinney Ranch apartment complex in the 5500 block of McKinney Place Drive.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 10-year-old male had been shot. He was transported by McKinney EMS to Medical City McKinney where he died.
A 17-year-old, who police consider a “person of interest”, is currently in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
