4-alarm fire contained at Lake Highlands apartment complex
Firefighters in Dallas were very busy overnight with a large apartment fire in the northeast Dallas / Lake Highlands area.
Heavy smoke and fire was seen showing from the roof of a two-story apartment complex in the 11900 block of Audelia Road.
Initial reports of people trapped in the building and fire conditions escalated the fire to a total of four alarms.
DFR officials say one person, a security guard, was injured while helping to evacuate residents. The injury was reported to be minor.
