One person injured in North Richland Hills shooting

The North Richland Hills PD is investigating a shooting incident that took place overnight in the 7900 block of Maplewood Ave.
Police say at around 12:45AM, they received a call from a person looking for the closest emergency room to take a gunshot wound victim. The caller then took the victim to a stand-alone ER at Airport Freeway and Hurst Town Center Drive. The vehicle that transported the victim was located at Pipeline and Loop 820 where it had crashed.
An investigation reveals the shooting allegedly took place in the 7900 block of Maplewood Ave, but police are still working to determine the exact circumstances.
The victim is a 32-year-old male later transported to a downtown Fort Worth hospital. His condition and injuries have not been disclosed, but police indicate they are not life threatening.
NRH PD continues to investigate the case, and reassures the public there is no danger at this time.
