UPDATE: Police and bomb dog called in after threats received at GCISD facilities
The Grapevine Police Department has released additional information regarding threats received to Cross Timbers Middle School and the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD administration building earlier this morning.
Faculty at Cross Timbers Middle School received a bomb threat via phone call at around 9:30AM. Staff immediately called police and initiated evacuation of the building. All kids and faculty were evacuated safely.
Police conducted two searches of the building, utilizing a bomb detection dog from DFW Airport. The searches lasted for about 2 hours and came back negative for any hazards. Students and faculty were allowed back into the building.
An additional threat was received at the campus shortly after the all-clear was given, but police were already on scene and remained vigilant for any suspicious activity.
The Grapevine-Colleyville ISD also received a threat that is tied to the threats at Cross Timbers MS.
“Grapevine Police will continue to investigate the threats and work to identify the caller(s).”
Update – Police say the threats were from out of state. They are still investigating the situation.
