Arlington police say 19-year-old fatally injured during “high risk” activity

The Arlington Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a seriously injured teenager on Tuesday night in east Arlington.

Police say they responded to an unconscious person at a parking lot in the 2000 block of Spruce Point Drive around 11PM Tuesday evening. Upon arrival, it was determined the individual may have been struck by a vehicle.

He was transported to a local hospital, but pronounced deceased early Wednesday morning. The victim has been identified as a 19-year-old male from Arlington.

Investigators believe the victim may have been involved in “high risk” activity when he was struck by a vehicle. Police are canvassing the area to locate witnesses and evidence.
