Person struck and killed by vehicle on I35W in Alvarado
The Alvarado Police Department is investigating a major accident involving a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on northbound I35W near US-67.
Alvarado PD say one person has been pronounced deceased on the scene. Police say a male was attempting to cross the freeway on foot and was struck by a passing vehicle.
All lanes were closed for investigation, but one lane has since been reopened. Traffic is still very slow in the area.
No other details have been released at this time.
