Pedestrian struck by train in Lewisville; transported to hospital

The Lewisville Police Department and Fire Department are investigating an incident along the train tracks just off Kealy Ave near the downtown Lewisville area.
Police say a female pedestrian was walking near the railroad tracks when she was struck by a southbound DCTA train. The train was traveling at a low rate of speed, but could not avoid hitting her.
She was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Lewisville police say she was wearing headphones and did not look around for train traffic. They also say she was in a no-crossing section of the track.
The crash occurred just before 12:25PM this afternoon.
