Teenager saves juvenile from burning Mansfield house
The Mansfield Fire Department responded to a house fire last night in the 4300 block of Gleneagles Drive. Crews arrived on scene around 9:30PM and located heavy fire showing from the garage of a house.
A 17-year-old returning home from swim practice noticed the flames and called 9-1-1. He then knocked on the front door to alert the residents. The front door was unlocked, so he entered the house and located an 11-year-old asleep on the couch. He woke him up just in case to get out of the house.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
