UPDATE: Four teenagers identified as victims from multi-fatal vehicle crash in Collin County
The Lavon Police Department has released additional information regarding the major accident last night on Highway 78 that resulted in the death of four (4) teenagers.
Officials have identified all four victims. Two were 17-year-olds and two were 16-year-olds. All were riding in a pickup truck when it collided with a van just before 6PM last night.
Three others in the van were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
All four teens attended Community High School in Nevada, TX.
A memorial ceremony is planned for tonight on the Community High School campus.
Law enforcement officials are still investigating the crash, and say it will be a “long process.”
