Driver flees Garland crash scene after hitting vehicle, killing other driver

The Garland Police Department is currently looking for the driver of a Dodge RAM truck after a vehicle collision late last night at the intersection of Jupiter Road and Forest Lane.

Emergency responders were called to the scene at around 11:45PM last night. Officers arrived and located an unconscious driver inside an SUV. The driver, now identified as a 46-year-old female, was transported to the hospital, but pronounced deceased.

Police say the driver of a black, 4-door Dodge RAM truck was traveling northbound on Jupiter Road at a high rate of speed when it impacted the westbound SUV in the intersection.

After the crash, witnesses observed the driver of the Dodge truck exit the vehicle and get into another vehicle that fled the scene without rendering aid to the driver of the vehicle he hit.

Police are searching for the driver of the Dodge truck. He is described as a Hispanic male with short fade haircut. He was believed to be wearing a black soccer-styled jersey with white writings on the front and back, black shorts, and leggings.
