Driver arrested for intoxication after hitting, killing pedestrian in Turtle Creek area
The Dallas Police Department is investigating a major accident with fatality that occurred around 10:45AM this morning in the 4500 block of Avondale Ave near Turtle Creek Blvd.
Police say a driver was traveling along the roadway when he lost control of his vehicle, drove onto the sidewalk, and struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital and pronounced deceased.
The driver has been arrested for intoxication manslaughter.
There is heavy police activity in the area while Dallas Police investigate the crash.
