UPDATE: Driver dies after crash in east Arlington
The Arlington Police Department is investigating a major accident with fatality that occurred earlier this morning at the intersection of S. Collins Street and E. Mayfield Road.
Quint 6, Engine 6, Engine 4, Arlington EMS Medic 2, and Arlington PD all responded to the scene just after 10AM. Two vehicles were involved in a crash at the intersection.
One of the vehicles involved crashed into a pole. The driver of that vehicle was quickly extricated from the vehicle and transported to Medical City Arlington with CPR in progress, where he later died.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
