Driver grazed by bullet after road rage crash / shooting in Dallas
The Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting subsequent to a minor crash and road rage incident early this morning around 4:30AM at the intersection of Amberton Parkway and Greenville Ave.
According to police, two vehicles were traveling along the northbound LBJ service road at Abrams. One of the vehicles (suspect) was in the right turn lane, but continued straight into the intersection and side-swiped with another vehicle (victim).
The victim followed the suspect to get the vehicle’s license plate. The victim blocked in the suspect’s vehicle at the LBJ service road and Greenville intersection, but the suspect drove up onto the sidewalk to escape.
Both vehicles turned onto Greenville Ave and continued to the Amberton Parkway intersection. The victim turned on the high-beams to take down the suspect’s license plate number. At this time, the suspect leaned out the driver’s window and fired one round from a handgun at the victim. The victim was grazed in the head by the bullet.
After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
