Vehicle crashes into pole along I-30 in Fort Worth; driver killed, others injured

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a major accident with fatality that occurred along westbound I-30 at the University Drive exit.

According to police, a vehicle was traveling along westbound I-30 when the driver lost control and crashed into a highway sign pole. The vehicle was attempting to take the exit. The vehicle was reported to be speeding prior to the crash.

The driver, identified as a 20-year-old female from Burleson, was pronounced deceased on the scene. Three passengers were transported to the hospital, one with critical injuries.

The accident investigation is in progress.
