Missing teenager found dead in wooded area of southeast Arlington
The Arlington Police Department has released an unfortunate update to the missing person case of Evan Lacey. The 19-year-old has been found dead in the southeast area of Arlington.
Police say a city utility crew was working in the 7100 block of Webb Ferrell Road last night just before midnight when they discovered a body. Emergency responders were called to the scene and the body was transported to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Medical Examiner has positively identified the body as that of Evan Lacey.
The Arlington PD took a missing person report on December 19th after Lacey disappeared from his house in the 1500 block of Wolf Creek Drive. He was last seen on December 17th.
Lacey’s vehicle was located on December 21st in Fort Worth. While police did not release specific details, they did indicate it was suspicious.
Officials have launched a homicide investigation into this case. They do believe foul play is involved based on circumstances and evidence. Anyone with information is asked to contact Homicide Detective Coleman at 817-459-5373.
