Resident dies in Fort Worth house fire

The Fort Worth Fire Department responded to a house fire last night just before 6:30PM in the 2600 block of Castanada Circle.
When firefighters arrived, they located a working fire and went into the house to check for occupants. One resident was rescued from the house.
MedStar EMS responded to the scene for the rescued resident. Emergency responders called for CareFlite, which landed not far from the scene. Due to patient care and condition, CareFlite’s medical crew road on board the ambulance while transporting the resident to the hospital.
According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, the resident died at 8:22PM after being transported to Harris Methodist hospital. She has been identified as a 68-year-old female.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
