UPDATE: Winter Weather WATCH now includes Denton, Parker, Tarrant counties

As forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Fort Worth continue to analyze weather models and data ahead of a strong arctic cold front tomorrow, the threat for accumulating wintry precipitation as shifted towards the DFW Metroplex.

The National Weather Service indicates the chance of heavy wintry precipitation early Wednesday morning has shifted eastward. Because of this threat expanding east, Parker County, Denton County, and Tarrant County have been included in the Winter Storm WATCH.

A Winter Storm WATCH means conditions will be favorable for accumulating snow and ice in these areas. Travel impacts may be occur.

A strong cold front will sweep across our area tomorrow. Temperatures will dive throughout the day with precipitation beginning as rain tomorrow and transitioning into freezing rain / sleet overnight. We will have additional updates on timing as the cold front approaches.
