Fort Worth firefighters rescue two people from fire at old school building
The Fort Worth Fire Department is on scene of a commercial structure fire at 1905 E. Vickery Blvd at the old R. Vickery School building.
Heavy smoke was showing from the building upon Engine 5’s arrival. They went inside and rescued two occupants from the building, which is reported to be vacant.
One of those rescued by FWFD has been transported to the hospital in serious condition. The other’s condition has not been released.
The fire was reportedly in the basement of the building. It has been placed under control.
Firefighters are still searching the building to ensure there are no additional occupants.
