Child fatally struck by vehicle in McKinney
The McKinney Police Department is investigating a serious accident involving a child that occurred yesterday afternoon in the area of McKinney Fire Station #7.
According to reports, a young girl was riding a skateboard when she was struck by a vehicle. She was taken by personal transport to nearby McKinney Fire Station #7, 861 Independence Parkway, for emergency care.
Emergency responders called for a medical helicopter response. PHI launched to the scene and landed nearby the fire station to airlift the injured little girl.
PHI airlifted the patient to Children’s Medical Center Dallas, but her injuries were too severe. She was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Officials have not yet released any details regarding the incident.
