Law enforcement searching for man who robbed, shot and killed store clerk in Rendon
The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a robbery and shooting this morning around 7:00AM at the Super Big Country Mart, located at FM 1187 and Stephenson Levy Road.
Police say a man entered the store with intent to commit a robbery around 6:18AM. The suspect displayed a handgun and robbed the clerk who opened the store a short time earlier.
At some point during the incident, the suspect shot the store clerk, who was found deceased at the location around 7:12AM from an apparent gunshot wound.
The suspect fled with cash and the victim’s dark gray Toyota Sienna minivan, Texas license plate GPB0449, southbound on Stevenson Levy Road toward Burleson.
The suspect has medium brown skin and a stocky build. His race is not known at this time. He was wearing a surgical type mask across his face, a ball cap, a blue zip up hoodie, gray pants, black shoes and one glove. The ball cap is white with a red bill.
A male wearing a plaid shirt and white ball cap entered the store just prior to the Robbery. He was driving a white 4-door passenger car. At this time, this individual is only a person of interest and Investigators would like to speak with him. His photo and a photo of his vehicle is attached.
